Saschabella

Pure white, cream tawney beige and pink

What mischevious god dipt the tip of my tail

In the blackest blackest ink?

lady of the night

Saschabella, princess of the night
sweet untouchable often invisible
Topping the bill with gravity defying
Feats of arial artistry above the centre ring
blue eyes flashing lookng down on her adoring public.

God and The Cat

Suppose God Revealed himself to my Cat.
"God," said Capitano, "You are so Vast I can barely comprehend You, Can you appear smaller?"
Of course, it sounded like "mrowll, rowell," but God, being God, understood perfectly,
God obliged Cappi, and made himself the size of a sparrow.
Cappi, being a cat, promptly ate Him and took a nap.
Is God Now Cappi, or has Capitano Become God?

September Morning

Ralph was late for work,
He had an argument with his wife last night
She said he loved his job more than her
He spent the night on the couch with a fifth of J&B
He missed his train and then the next one and
Both planes.

The others made it in on time
Close friends good friends
Drinking buddies backstabbers
Acquaintences faces without names
The flirty red-head with the perky tits
All there

The tickets for yesterdays trades
Stacked neatly on his desk
Flew out the shattered windows
And scattered on the wind
With the contents of the burst
File cabinets

Fluttering down as though some Hymalayic
Oak dropped all its leaves at once.
He watched on the Big Screen at the
Bar at Grand Central,
His Building His Floor His Office.
Holy Mother Pray For Them
Holy Mother Pray for Them
Holy Mother Pray For Them

He saw it collapse and ordered a J&B
There is a Hole where the Towers stood
Someday it will be filled with
Concrete Steel and Glass again
There is not enough J&B
In the World
To fill up the hole
In Ralph.

Holy Mother Pray For Them
Holy Mother Pray for Them
Holy Mother Pray For Them
Holy Mother Pray For Us All

Over Her Shoulder

She cried out and looked back

over her shoulder

and saw it coming for her;

She died in my arms knowing

She was loved
